Everyday Play was created for parents who want to support their child's development without overcomplicating play. We believe learning happens through everyday moments — using simple household items, a little creativity, and the spaces you already live in.

Founded in Perth, Australia, Everyday Play was inspired by the early newborn days when time slows down and the smallest interactions become the biggest milestones. After spending countless hours searching for simple, low-cost activity ideas, I realised many parents were looking for the same thing: realistic play that didn't require expensive toys, hours of preparation or a perfectly styled playroom.

Everyday Play was created to remove the pressure, reduce the clutter, and make it easy for families to enjoy meaningful moments together.

Because childhood isn't about doing more—it's about making everyday moments count.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Jacinta.

I'm a first-time mum from Perth, Australia, and the creator of Everyday Play.

Like many new parents, I quickly discovered that babies don't need endless toys or elaborate activities—they simply need opportunities to explore, connect and learn through everyday experiences.

I started sharing simple play ideas using items already around the home, and what began as a way to inspire other parents has grown into Everyday Play.

I'm not an educator—I'm an everyday mum who loves finding practical, affordable and achievable ways to encourage learning through play. Every activity is created with real family life in mind: low preparation, low cost and designed to fit into busy days.

My hope is that Everyday Play helps you feel confident that meaningful play doesn't have to be complicated—and that some of your child's favourite memories can be made with the simplest of ideas.
